We are seeking nominations for the PGME Valedictorian Award, an honour that recognizes exceptional academic achievements, leadership qualities, and contributions to postgraduate medical education at Queen’s University and the affiliated teaching sites.
The 'Living our Values' award recognizes a Resident and a Faculty member from each Queen's Campus (Kingston and Lakeridge Health) who embodies and creates, through their words and actions, a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning and working environment. The award will be presented annually at the Postgraduate Convocation ceremony and will consist of an award and the addition of the winners’ names to the Living our Values plaque.

Dr. Melanie Walker is the Research Scientist and Resident Research Director for the Department of Emergency Medicine at Queen’s University. She is an Assistant Professor with the Departments of Emergency Medicine and Public Health Sciences. Dr. Walker's research interests include health equity, the social determinants of health and vulnerable populations.
