The School of Medicine at Queen's University offers a four-year Doctor of Medicine program, selecting students based on academic excellence and personal characteristics suitable for medical studies. The curriculum aims to produce well-rounded physicians with broad medical knowledge, skills, and attitudes for postgraduate training. Emphasizing lifelong learning, the program incorporates principles of equity, diversity, inclusion, Indigeneity and accessibility (EDIIA).

Notice

Queen’s Health Sciences (QHS) is adapting its MD Program admissions process to create a more inclusive entry point for all applicants, minimize systemic barriers to becoming a doctor, and increase student diversity. The changes will be implemented gradually over the coming years. (Read more)

Community of Support (COS)

The Queen’s Health Sciences is a partner with the University of Toronto’s Temerty MD Program’s Community of Support program. This is a collaborative initiative supported by several faculties of medicine across Canada, which supports prospective students facing systemic barriers on their path to medical education, basic sciences, and rehabilitation sciences programs.

Mushkiki Miikan: Pathways to Medicine Mentorship Program

Mushkiki Miikan is a collaborative initiative across Ontario medical schools including the Northern Ontario School of Medicine University (NOSM University), the University of Toronto’s Temerty Faculty of Medicine (Temerty Medicine), Queen's University, Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU), McMaster University, Western University (Schulich Medicine), and the University of Ottawa with the goal of improving access, providing tailored support, and creating a nurturing environment for Indigenous students throughout their medical educational journey.
