Queen’s PGME condemns the Russian invasion of Ukraine. We are horrified for the people of Ukraine and watch with admiration their bravery and humanity in the face of this atrocity. In addition to thinking of those living in Ukraine, we are also thinking of our faculty and learners who have connections to the country. Many will have relatives or friends who are from Ukraine or live there now . Over 1.4 million people living in Canada have full or partial Ukrainian heritage; they are a critical part of the fabric of Canada. We also know that many of our colleagues and learners with ties to Russia and Belarus stand with those in Ukraine in condemning these actions. We stand as a community in offering our support to the Ukraine and its people.
