Ottawa Cardiovascular Research Day

The 33rd Ottawa Cardiovascular Research Day will be held virtually on May 10, 2021.

This annual event will bring together Ottawa's cardiovascular community, including trainees, researchers, clinicians, physicians, faculty and industry, to celebrate the region's research excellence through moderated oral presentations and poster sessions. Trainees will showcase their latest findings in both clinical and translational science, hone their presentation skills and promote cross-fertilization of ideas and applications.

Our virtual format will integrate the innovative Gather.Town platform which combines video-calling with a 2D map so that attendees can “walk” around and talk to the people “right next to them.” We are excited to have this feature in our event platform to enhance interactions amongst attendees! All instructions on how to use the platform will be circulated before the event.

We are very pleased to welcome Peter Macdonald, MD, PhD, as our keynote speaker.  Prof. Macdonald, based at the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute and the University of New South Wales, Australia, is an international leader in cardiothoracic transplantation, donor organ preservation and donation.
