Each year, the Postgraduate Medical Education Office hosts many educational events for all levels of residency. Please be reminded that the format (e.g. in-person to virtual) are subject to change, so we encourage you to check back regularly and check your email for updates.

June 2025	Convocation	Residents and Clinical fellows who are completing their programs. Invitations sent directly to invited guests.
June 27, 2025	Virtual KHSC/PGME Orientation	All new residents and clinical fellows.
October 23, 2025	Virtual Queen’s Conference on Academic Residency Education Plus (QCARE+)	Upper year residents are invited to attend and must attend one workshop by their final year.
October 29, 2025	The Research Gateway: Preparing Residents for Scientific Inquiry (Research Day) In-person	Attendance is strongly recommended for all PGY 1 residents.
October 30- November 1, 2025	International Conference on Residency Education	Mandatory participation for PGY 1 residents. Participation is open to subspecialty trainees and fellows at their program’s discretion.
November 4, 2025	Queen’s Conference on Academic Residency Education (QCARE) In-person with a virtual option	Mandatory participation for PGY 1 residents. Participation is open to subspecialty trainees and fellows at their program’s discretion.
April 9, 2026	Indigenous Health Day	Mandatory participation for PGY 1 residents. Open to all subspecialty trainees at the discretion of their program.
April 16 – 19, 2026	International Congress on Academic Medicine
TBC	CMPA Resident Symposium	All RC PGY 2s (and anyone who missed it in PGY 2). Participation is mandatory. *CFPC residents have a specific date; verify with program.
Anytime One-hour webinars	Essentials of Teaching: Clinical	Trainees interested in enhancing their teaching skills.
