End of June/start of July tends to be a 're-set' time so it's a perfect time to set up a GOOS paper station!

What is GOOS paper? Good On One Side. All the paper that doesn't have confidential information on it, that we don't need anymore. Instead of popping it directly in the recycling and then reaching for printer paper or a notepad when we need to make notes, consider starting a GOOS paper pile. See photo from 1WB for reference!

Congratulations to the winners of the 2nd annual PGME Commute-to-Work Challenge! This year, there were 14 programs competing with 6 teams and 23 individuals, logging a combined total of almost 1000 commutes! Here are this year's winners:

On June 11, 2026, the staff of the PGME Office attended a reception hosted by Queen's Principal Dr. Patrick Deane. Each staff member was recognized for their outstanding contribution to the learning and working environment at Queen's University, and received a Queen's Special Recognition Award. Joining the team was their nominator, Dr. Karen (Pinky) Schultz, Associate Dean, PGME. Congratulations to everyone on this achievement!

This challenge is open to anyone in PGME - track your commutes for the month to gain points (more environmentally sustainable/active commutes = more points) and earn prizes and bragging rights.
