Temperature Regulation Problems

  • It is common for premature babies to be unable to maintain regular body temperature for a few days or weeks after they are born
  • In this time, it is important to pay close care and attention to assisting the baby in controlling their temperature
    • For example, adding and removing blankets, closely monitoring their temperature, and using heat sources such as incubators and overhead warmers
