Educational Sessions

Educational sessions include a variety of global health-related events that occur across the Queen’s campus and the Kingston community. The sessions include lectures, panels, movie screenings, journal clubs, conferences, and other events. Attending educational sessions will allow you to:

  • Follow current events locally and internationally to keep up-to-date with new developments in the field of global health
  • Participate in fostering a global health community within the Faculty of Health Sciences, at Queen’s, and in the Kingston community

In order to complete the Global Health AEP, you are expected to attend at least 6 sessions.  You are also expected to present on your service-learning experience, or your global health placement.

Please note that the Office of Global Health does not organize all sessions included in this component. Students are encouraged to identify global health-related events at Queen’s and in the community to count towards this component.  For a listing of all events that count towards the GH AEP please click here.

To schedule your presentation, or to have a global health-related event count towards the Global Health AEP, please contact Mikaila De Sousa at ogh@queensu.ca.
