Objectives

By the end of this session students will:

Understand the principles of ventilation and oxygenation.
Be able to demonstrate simple techniques, without the aid of equipment, for opening a patient's airway.
Be able to demonstrate the correct technique for inserting an oropharyngeal and nasopharnygeal airway.
Be able to demonstrate the correct technique for bag-mask ventilation.
