CJChristopher J. Justinich, MD, Division Head
  • Head of Queen’s Pediatric Gastroenterology and the Food Allergy Program, received his M.D. from Queen’s in 1984 and completed training in Pediatrics and Pediatric Gastroenterology. He developed a unique food allergy program at the University of Connecticut and now at Queen’s University. Dr. Justinich is recognized internationally in the field of food allergy and gastrointestinal disorders caused by allergy. He received Canadian Foundation for Innovation infrastructure support funding to equip a laboratory for the study of food allergy at Queen’s University. This unique program combines patient care with basic science research specifically focused on food allergic disorders.

  • Initially a fourth year honours student, worked part-time in the lab as during an MSc in Anatomical Sciences and then returned to complete a PhD. Currently in the MD program at Queen's University (Meds 2015) and helping out in the lab part-time.
