The Eduardo Bruera Award in Palliative Medicine recognizes physicians who have made a difference at a local, regional, and/or national level, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in palliative medicine in any of the following areas: clinical palliative medicine, education, research, program administration, or international involvement in palliative medicine.  Donated by the Division of Palliative Care Medicine at the University of Alberta and co-sponsored by the Canadian Society of Palliative Care Physicians (CSPCP), the Bruera Award is presented annually at the CSPCP Advanced Learning in Palliative Medicine Conference.
