John Smith and the Car Accident

         

Purpose

  1. To provide an IPE experience to health science students at the Exposure level of the FHS Framework for IPE.
  2. To integrate IP competencies into the FHS curricula (Medicine, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, and Physiotherapy).
  3. To engage students from all health science disciplines in IPE through a learner-centred, experiential approach.
  4. To provide an opportunity for students to develop a plan of patient/client-centred care through collaborating as an interprofessional health care team.
  5. To form a collaborative partnership between Queen’s University and St. Lawrence College in order to broaden the number of students and faculty from diverse healthcare professions in an IPE activity.
  6. To provide greater depth and realism to the menu of available IPE learning activities.
