vanmelle@queensu.caElaine Van Melle, as Director of the Office of Health Sciences Education, works with educational leaders, faculty and staff to promote scholarship and innovation in teaching and learning. Elaine has conducted research into the impact of technology on student learning, faculty adoption of innnovative teaching practices as well as understanding faculty development needs of community based preceptors. Her current interests focus on the role of educational scholarship as a pathway for academic advancement.

Libby Alexander is a Research Assistant. She provides educational research support for Health Sciences Faculty including literature searching, proposal assistance, data collection and analysis. Libby assists with the Fellows in Educational Scholarship Program (FESP), a group of Health Sciences Faculty members participating in a curriculum to develop their areas of scholarship.
