Medical Education Technology Unit

Please be advised that MEdTech Central will be unavailable for approximately 2 hours starting at 7:00PM on Wednesday, August 31st for a scheduled upgrade. Just a quick note to inform you that MEdTech Central will be offline for approximately 10 minutes around 9:00PM today (August 26) while the schedule is being imported into the system.

Please be advised that due to a required electrical shutdown at 18 Barrie Street, we are required to schedule a service outage for all web and database services on Monday, August 29th from 4:20AM until 7:30AM. This includes websites for meds.queensu.ca, nursing.queensu.ca, rehab.queensu.ca, healthsci.queensu.ca, seamo.ca, and qmed.ca, as well as MEdTech Central, SONIT Central, and Rehab Central.

Also note we have been unable to move our servers into the server room in the new medical school building due to the flooding that occurred last month. Once our equipment is moved into the new location we will be on full backup generator power and power outages like the one currently scheduled would not affect service.

A quick note to inform you that there are two scheduled downtime events for the meds.queensu.ca server:

1. Wednesday, August 17th at 7:50AM for approximately 10 minutes.
2. Thursday, August 18th at 7:50AM for approximately 10 minutes.

This downtime means that all websites and services (i.e. MEdTech Central, SONIT Central, and Rehab Central) will be offline during the outage. The outage is necessary in order to reboot the server and apply operating system updates.

A quick message to inform you that all web-services provided by the MEdTech Unit including meds.queensu.ca, nursing.queensu.ca, and rehab.queensu.ca, etc are currently unavailable. There is flooding the server room and we are working to bring services back online.
