The Department of Radiology at Queen's University, (Kingston General Hospital and Hotel Dieu Hospital), delivers quality tertiary care imaging in the academic setting of Queen's University. As the only tertiary care center in this region of southeastern Ontario, we have a large referral base encompassing the area between Belleville and Brockville, and Smith Falls to Lake Ontario. This gives a population base of about 600,000 and thus the opportunity to diagnose and treat a complete gamut of disease processes. As part of the medical school at Queen's University, we have a busy academic practice which includes the training of radiology residents. Our staff radiologists are also engaged in numerous academic projects, including the development of radiology texts, radiology computer teaching programs, and numerous research projects.
