(H&E 59) There are two bony trabeculae present in this micrograph (spongy bone). Two multinucleated osteoclasts are located on the outer surface of one of the trabeculae. Osteocytes are bone cells that are completely encased by bone matrix, whereas osteoblasts are mono-nucleated cells that are present on the surface of trabeculae. |
