Life Sciences Program

499 Project Listing

GENERAL INFORMATION:

It is suggested that BSH Discovery Students interested in pursuing a 499 Project in their fourth year should contact professors after December of their third year.

Identify three faculty whose research intrigues you.  Research and review their most recent research papers and be in a position to discuss aspects of these papers with them.

One strategy might be to identify and approach three faculty that do not do extensive teaching in the first two years of the Life Science program.

The following professors are the Coordinators for 499 projects and streams:
ANAT 499 - Dr. Steve Pang - pangsc@queensu.ca
CANC 499 -
Dr. Harriet Feilotter - hf4@queensu.ca
DDHT 499 - Dr. Thomas Massey - masseyt@queensu.ca
EPID 499 - Dr. Harriet Richardson - hrichardson@ctg.queensu.ca
NSCI 499 - Dr. Martin Pare - pare@biomed.queensu.ca

MICR 499 - Dr. Ken Jarrell - jarrellk@queensu.ca
PATH 499 - Dr. Xiaolong Yang - yangx@queensu.ca
PHAR 499 - Dr.  Catherine Cahill - cahillc@queensu.ca
PHGY 499 - Dr. Shetuan Zhang - shetuan.zhang@queensu.ca

Please do not use form emails to contact professors.

If you obtain a 499 project with a professor, please email from your Queen's email the coordinator for the area of research (see above listing) you will be placed in as well as copy your supervisor and the Life Science office on the email confirming your project (and include your student number).
