The MEdTech Unit aims to enhance learning and teaching by integrating effective educational technology solutions into the medical curriculum. The unit has developed MEdTech Central, which is a web-based application that provides ubiquitous access to schedules, learning resources (such as lecture notes and podcasts), and to online collaboration tools. The Bracken Health Sciences Library serves faculty, staff, students and health professionals who study, work, and conduct research in the health science disciplines of medicine, nursing, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and the life sciences. The library provides access to print books and journals, multimedia resources, point-of-care evidence-based practice resources, as well as a comprehensive collection of full-text e-books and e-journals. The entire main floor of the library was renovated in 2005 to create the Centre for Health Electronic Education Resources (CHEER). This facility allows for group work and collaboration while quiet study space is available on the lower level.
