Welcome to the Gastrointestinal Diseases Research Unit (GIDRU) at Queen's University: A unique Basic / Clinical Science Collaboration.
GIDRU is a diverse multidisciplinary group, drawing its membership from the Departments of Medicine, Surgery and Pathology and basic science faculty from the Departments of Anatomy and Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Biology, Microbiology and Immunology and Physiology.
Many of the clinical members are cross-appointed in basic science departments to facilitate joint supervision of research students and fellows. These strong links between the laboratory bench and the bedside are one of the major strengths of the unit.
CCC Gutsy Walk
Why not get sponsored and take part in the annual Gutsy Walk for Crohn's and Colitis Canada in June? Walking through the Lemoine Point Conservation Area (1285 Coverdale Dr., Kingston) is a great way to spend a Sunday morning, and raises valuable funds for the CCC's research efforts.
