Applicable Fees and Application Procedure

All visiting students from IMED-accredited International medical schools will be charged an application fee, in addition to their elective fees.

The following fees are paid by international money order in Canadian funds made payable to Queen’s University at time of electives application submission. No personal cheques will be accepted. Two money orders are required as follows:

1. $100 NON-REFUNDABLE APPLICATION FEE

2. $400 ELECTIVE FEE  

Refund Policy:

Elective placement cannot always be guaranteed hence, the Elective Fee will be refunded in its entirety, when placement cannot be secured by the Electives Coordinator. The Elective Fee will NOT be refunded if placement has been confirmed by the Electives Coordinator, but is then cancelled by the student. No exceptions will be made.

Please note that changes or cancellation to requested electives cannot be made and require re-application and additional payment of the application fee. Elective fees will be refunded on approved cancellations only.

  1. Complete the elective/observership application form.
  1. Mail with supporting documentation and fees (2 money orders as above) to the above address. 
     
  2. Await e-mail confirmation/denial of elective from Visiting Electives Coordinator.
