Candidates must be Canadian citizens or Canadian permanent
residents (landed immigrants) before submission of the
medical school application through OMSAS. Applications from students not meeting this requirement will be denied.
Applicants who meet the Residency Requirements but have studied outside of Canada must have their foreign transcripts evaluated through The World Education Services (WES). Information pertaining to the assessment of international grades can be found on the OMSAS website. O
MSAS will continue to convert grades of
courses taken at accredited universities in the US.
