Katherine M Detre Award

The Dr. Katherine M. Detre Award was established by a bequest from the estate of Dr. Detre who received her medical degree from Queen's in 1952 after arriving in Canada from Hungary. She went on to become a distinguished professor of Epidemiology and is remembered for her extraordinary warmth and spirit.

This award is given annually to an International Medical Graduate in a residency program at Queen's University to support further training. The award will be granted on the basis of financial need.
