Henry Albert Beatty Fellowship
The Henry Albert Beatty Fellowship is awarded for one year of postgraduate work and may be renewed for a second year. The stipend will vary with previous training in the manner of Medical Research Council awards.
The holder of the Fellowship will normally be a graduate in Medicine of Queen's University. If a satisfactory applicant is not available from among Queen's medical graduates, the Fellowship will be open to graduates of other medical schools. The holder of the Fellowship shall carry on postgraduate work in a preclinical or clinical department of the Faculty of Health Sciences at this University or in a related discipline in another Faculty at this University. The Fellowship shall not be held during an internship or core residency appointment. The holder of the Fellowship may hold another award concurrently, with the permission of the Dean and Faculty of Health Sciences.
Applications for the Fellowship should be made by letter to the Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences not later than the first of October each year. The applicant must give information regarding his/her experience since graduation and the work that he/she plans to do. The application must be supported by the head of the department concerned.
