Reproductive and Sexual Health

We recognize the impact of discrimination based in gender and sexuality on patients' health, whether the discrimination is overt or as a result of internalized prejudices.  We also recognize the importance of advocacy, information, and healthy discourse when it comes to improving sexual health.  It is upon these principles that the Local Officer of Reproductive and Sexual Health (LORSH) works.

The LORSH is responsible for leading projects and initiatives in the area of reproductive and sexual health, and liaising with the National Officer of Reproductive and Sexual Health (NORSH) in order to benefit and create opportunities for Queen's medical students at large.  Events organized by the LORSH include movie nights and awareness events for those of marginalized genders and sexualities, discussions about sexual assault, and information/workshops for pregnancy options including abortions.  The LORSH works in collaboration with the rest of the Global Health Committee, and collaborates with various interest groups for events.
