The Hematology/Oncology Division exists to ensure excellence in the care of patients with blood diseases and cancer, to educate undergraduates and postgraduates in clinical hematology and medical oncology, and to conduct research on diseases of the blood and cancer. The Palliative Care section has a mandate to develop patient care systems throughout the Region, to educate undergraduates, postgraduates and practising physicians, and to conduct research. The Bioethics section aims to provide a consultative service to the Kingston Hospitals, to support education in bioethics in the Hospital and the University, and to conduct research.
