Academic Anesthesiologists

The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine of Queen’s University is accepting applications for academic clinical anesthesiologist positions.  As a member of the Department, faculty will provide services to Queen’s University and its affiliated teaching hospitals, Kingston General Hospital, Hotel Dieu Hospital and Providence Care in the provision of general and regional anesthesiology in the full range of specialties. Candidates must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and preferred candidates would possess a Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons fellowship, or equivalent.  Preference will be given to applicants with additional training in Chronic Pain, Patient Safety, Obstetrical Anesthesia, and to those who exhibit strong potential for innovative and scholarly research. Must demonstrate strong potential for outstanding teaching contributions as well as evidence of an ability to work in an interdisciplinary, collaborative environment. Substantial resources may be available to support suitably qualified candidates who wish to pursue a clinician scientist career.
